1. Who we are

Cape Cod Certified (“we”, “us”) is a private curation register operated out of The Pinehills, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Reach the team at info@capecodcertified.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly. Your name, email, phone number, business name, project details, and any content you include when you submit a form on this site — Request a Quote, List your business, or the Journal signup.

Information collected automatically. Your browser type, operating system, screen size, and the pages you visit on this site. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not use cross-site tracking. We do not fingerprint.

Cookies. We use a single essential cookie (actually a localStorage value) to remember your cookie preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to you, to connect you with the contractor, host, or supplier you reached out to, and to send you the dispatch if you asked for it. That is all.

We do not sell your data. We do not trade your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

4. Who we share it with

When you submit a Request a Quote form, the relevant contractor receives your information so they can respond to you directly. This is the entire point of submitting the form.

We use service providers for email delivery and site hosting. They are contractually bound to process information only on our behalf and to keep it confidential.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we have on file about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. We respond within 30 days. Email support@capecodcertified.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA):You have the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of “sale” (we don't sell). Make a request at the email above.

EU / UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and our legitimate interest in running the register. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

6. How long we keep it

Form submissions are retained for 24 months so we can follow up on active inquiries. Journal subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Support emails are retained for 24 months from the last message.

7. Security

We use standard security practices — TLS in transit, access controls, and hosting with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure. If we have a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you within 72 hours.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if the policy changes and note the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the dispatch and on the homepage.
